Europe Direct Information Point

There is so much information about Europe and the European Union available, that sometimes it can be difficult to know where to start looking for the specific information you need.

For this reason, the European Commission has set up an information
network in all member countries of the European Union: the Europe Direct
information network.

The Dutch Europe Direct Network has 13 Information Points.
A part of this network can be found in Amsterdam Public Library. In the Europe Direct Information Point, as well as books and reports (which can be borrowed) there are also magazines and periodicals published throughout the European Union that are available to consult.

Moreover, there are a large number of folders, brochures and posters on diverse European subjects available for free. Via the internet, it is also possible to access databases with information on laws, legislation, case law, statistics and magazine articles.

Questions answered
There is also an information desk open during library opening hours, where you can ask questions. It is also possible to e-mail your questions: europa@oba.nl
