Should I always make a reservation?
No, it is not necessary to always make a reservation. When your item of choice is available, you do not need to reserve it.
If you cannot pick up the item immediately, but want to pick it up later in the day, you can call the library location where the item is available and ask the library to keep it ready for you. This only applies if you are going to pick up the item on that same day. A reservation is not possible when the item is marked as one of the following: ‘Tijdelijk uit collectie’ (temporarily excluded from the collection), ‘In transit’ or ‘Not available for loan’.
